✔ Logitech has done for the iPad with its UltraThin Keyboard Cover for the iPad, and now has done the same for the iPad-mini. Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover for iPad-mini is Maxi Terrific. The Keyboard has Very Good Keys, Feels Like. Types Like Apple’s Bluetooth Keyboard packed with their $5000 MAC. Transforms the traditional iPad or iPad mini into a ultra-light touch-screen LapTop.
✔ Logitech’s powerful ceramic magnetic-hinged keyboard also functions as a Cover to protect the iPad’s display. This “accessory” is not a full case, as it does not cover the back of the iPad. The cover, closes over the front-glass display of the iPad. We have been using this terrific iPad accessory and love it in every way… period, no take-aways or complaints whatsoever.
Marilyn and I have personally tested and used all 5 of the most popular iPad Key-Board Covers and Cases, since 2010 . The Logitech’s UltraThin KeyBoard Cover is our Favorite. Period. This is the Case Marilyn and I use every day. The other cases and covers that we used for comparison and testing, have been given away to our kids and relatives.

✔ The other popular Keyboard Cases made by Belkin, the ClamCase, the ClamCase Pro are very good and well built; however, since these are full surround cases, they add a significant amount of “thickness” and weight to the overall iPad. The “magic” of the iPad is its incredibly light and thin footprint. The Logitech UltraThin Keyboard Cover adds only 7.3mm (about 0.29″) to the iPad or iPad mini. The iPad-mini with the Logitech Keyboard cover weighs in at just under 20oz.
✔ When ready for use, simply open the Cover from the iPad’s display, (kept closed with ceramic magnets too) separate the cover from the magnetic-bond from the iPad’s internal ceramic magnets, then slip the iPad into a perfectly engineered groove just above the keyboard’s keys, and voilรก, you are ready for some typing and browsing.
✔ Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover for iPad-mini is held securely in place, when the iPad is seated in the keyboard’s groove, there are another set of cerammic-magnets. One can actually pick-up the iPad when properly seated in the UltraThin Keyboard Cover’s groove, and the UltraThin Keyboard Cover may be lifted too. I wouldn’t recommend moving far, but the comment is intended to demonstrate the UltraThin Keyboard Cover’s magnetic force when the iPad is in position for typing, browsing, reading.
✔ As we own the original Logitech UltraThin Keyboard Cover for the iPad, this iPad-mini version is very functional, light, thin, useful, has a battery life of three months of use, assuming several hours per day average usage. The Lithium Polymer (LiOn) battery is charged using the provided USB mini connection cable, which can be inserted into common 5v LiOn cell phone chargers, that have the standard USB female-connector port.
✔ Logitech UltraThin Keyboard Cover has a very acceptable “condensed” keyboard, such a configuration is understandable considering the “mini” format. The actual keys are not “rubberized” as one can find in some competitor’s products. The Keys are firmly attached, and feel quite normal as with typing on a standard MAC bluetooth desktop keyboard, other than the mini-compressed keys configuration. It will take a week or so to get used to it; however, its worth the effort to have such a portable keyboard-cover.
✔ Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover effectively transforms your iPad-mini into an exciting, functional, highly portable, touch-screen “LapTop.” We highly recommend Logitech’s keyboard cover. Available in Black or White, to match your iPad’s color.

As many of my friends, family and students know, I am an avid iPad adopter since its release mid-year 2010. With Apple’s release of the Retina-Display iPad Mini, I will be changing to it soon with 128GB of Storage and Logitech’s UltraThin Keyboard Cover; however, the WiFi only model. My thought is there are so many WiFi zones available these days, investing in the $130 LTE Cellular chipset upgrade is mitigated by my iPhone 5S with its "HOT SPOT" capability. Therefore, if I have migrated into non-WiFi area, or I desire a more Secure Internet Connection, its very easy to Activate my iPhone’s Hot Spot, which serves as a mini-router, accepting up to 5 WiFi enabled devices, for internet connectivity.
