iWatch Rumor Round-Up ~ iWearable Connects to iPhone ~ Apple will Deliver a Magical Communications Aid plus Health Monitoring ~ Apple re-Invents the Watch/Band just as Apple re-Invented the SmartPhone and the Tablet 🍎🍎🍎🌎🌎⏰⏰πŸ•™πŸ•™

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ iWatch Prototypes. Apple’s iWearable Connects to the iPhone. When Will Apple Deliver it? iWatch Prototypes and Rumors are Developing at a Red-Hot pace. Apple will Deliver a Magical Device, that will be transformable, essentially re-Inventing the Watch, just it did to Smartphones with its iPhone, and Tablets with its iPad. In a recent interview, Cook said the entire Wearable computing space is “ripe for exploration” and will be as game-changing and revolutionary as the iPhone or the iPad.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple has long been rumored to be delivering an “iWatch” that will focus on health-features and establish Apple as a key player in the “emerging wearables” category. According to a new report from the Chinese Economic Daily, Apple plans to finally launch an iDevice, an iBand sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2014, perhaps simultaneously with the launch of the iPhone 6, makes sense as these two devices will be “connected” with a low-power efficient bluetooth two way link.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ The report, relayed by Digitimes on Tuesday, cites an alleged bill of materials that points to the Q3/2014 launch timeframe. The report also states that Apple will look to ship 65 million units in 2014, which would be remarkable considering the present tepid response existing SmartWatch devices from the big-brands have received thus far.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple is Apple, and they have a history of reinventing familiar devices like the Tablet, a lack-luster array in early 2010, until the iPad was released… Blam, 200,000,000 iPads later and a 70% market share, with 4/10/2010 being its birth-day, Tomorrow the iPad is a 4 year old, what a baby! The smart phone market was jammed with 12 different offerings in the 1st Quarter of 2007… then Apple announces the first iPhone, one million units sold in the 1st year. Today there are 475 Million iPhones in circulation, where 55% of all North Americans are carrying iPhones.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ This could be another indication that the new Apple device will actually be a low-cost fitness tracking band or something similar, rather than a smartwatch.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Economic Daily reports that Quanta will be tasked with building the device, while TPK will supply touchscreens for the iWatch and Taiwan-based Richtek will supply some chips. The report also claims that Apple will design the processor that powers the iWatch, and it will outsource production of the chipset to Samsung.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Tim Cook sees the Wearable, the iWatch, as another very significant branch of the connectivity tree. These design-prototypes permit the user to squeeze a Wearable to fit your wrist, as it is built around a flexible high-resolution display. IMHO, Apple’s new iWearable should be a revolution in and of itself. Marilyn who is very fashion conscious, is very interested in the iWearable connectivity to her iPhone…

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple’s All-Star Team of Biosensor Engineers is Developing “Something Really Big.” Here are the recent Cast of Characters

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Ravi Narasimhan, Author of numerous papers, joined Apple’s R&D department in December 2013. He knows biosensors, machine learning, systems and computational biology and was previously VP R&D, Biosensor Technology at Vital Connect.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Michael O’Reilly, MD and former chief medical officer of Masimo Corporation, in December participated in a high-level Apple/FDA meeting to discuss “mobile medical applications.”

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Todd Whitehurst, director of hardware development at Apple (since July 2013), former VP of product development at Senseonics and ex-R&D VP at Palyon Medical, has been involved in medical device development since 1999.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Ueyn Block, technical lead/engineering manager in the optical sensing arm of Apple, which he joined alongside other former members of C8 MediSensors in March 2013.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Erno Klaassen, former Senior Director of electrical systems and IC design at St. Jude Medical, joined Apple in February 2013 as Manager, Hardware Architecture.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Nancy Dougherty, Hardware Engineer at Apple since December 2013 was formerly hardware lead at wearable sensor tech firm, Sano Intelligence. She previously worked as Senior Electrical Engineer, device systems, at Proteus Digital Health.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ According to a new report by ComputerWorld, Apple’s all-star team of world’s most proficient biosensor engineers is developing much more than a wearable accessory like iWatch or an iPhone app like Healthbook. “Apple could do something really big”, says the author, adding that the Cupertino tech giant’s competitors are desperate to know what that is.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the whole sensor field is going to explode. “It’s already exploding. It’s a little all over the place right now, but with the arc of time, it will become clearer I think”. Tracking the scale and the extent of the investments Apple has recently made in hiring a large army of biosensor experts, the source notes that all this talent sets the scene for “something a little bit more compelling” than an iWatch iPhone accessory or an app.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Everyone and their pet dog (including my 3 Cats) believes these new-hires mean Apple is developing health sensors for future products. But why stop there? How might robust, reliable, low-power ambient biometric sensors be applied as part of future physically controlled user interfaces for wearable devices? Some rumours have suggested that the SmartWatch may sport advanced sensors that measure hydration and glucose levels, heart-rate, arrhythmia, blood-oxygen, while other reports have claimed the wearable device will also focus on other basic health parameters too. One this is for sure, Apple will deliver an amazing “wearable” that will link to the power of the iPhone and new Apps, in ways only the very best “Imagineers” can deliver, IMHO.

iWatch Rumor Round-Up for 2014. iWearable Connects directly to your iPhone with a newly engineered low-power, highly-stable BlueTooth connectivity. Apple will Deliver a Magical transformable Device. Apple will be re-Inventing the Watch, just as Apple re-Invented the SmartPhone with its iPhone, and re-Invented the Tablet with its iPad.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Since it "connects" securely to your iPhone via their Bluetooth capabilities, the iWatch synchronizes with the appropriate Apps that are running in the background on the iPhone: Messages, Time, Date, Next Appointment, Call Screening, Answering calls, Text Messages, eMails, Facebook, Tweets, Pulse, Calorie Count, Miles Walked, Speed, Location, Directions, Arrival Time, Temperature, Stress Level, photo taking.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ iWatch Telephone Call Screening. Imagine the convenience of Rejecting & Silencing an automated sales call without having to dig through your purse or brief-case. Alternatively, you could Tap your iWatch button, to send a desired incomming call to Voice-Mail while in a conference or meeting, and simultaneously send a Text Message: “Sorry I missed your Call, as I’m in a Meeting ~ I will call you in an hour or so.” This automation may be pre-programmed into the synergy formed with your iWatch & iPhone Apps.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Recently with Apple’s “acquisition of several key bio-mechanics, the iWatch may incorporate advanced medical sensor technology and health biosensing, a larger array of “blood chemistry levels” than previously thought “not capable to measure with a wearable” such as Blood Pressure, Blood Gasses, Blood Sugars, Blood Oxygen, pulse and arrhythmia, with an entire array of plotting, graphing, exercise achievements, warning messaging. One can imaging all the nifty Apps that will be developed for the iWatch.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple’s next big thing, is it going to be Apple’s first wearable device: iWatch. “Everyone thinks” its coming, but no one has a notion of what or when. We expect that the iWatch will be imaginative, magical and extraordinary, as occurred with the releases of the iPad and iPhone. For Apple the pressure is on as never before. However, Apple has a history of delivering amazing communications and computing tools, that really change lives, and the way we do things.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ My guesses. The iWatch may be released later in 2014, after the new iPhones are released. The new iPhones should be released earlier in the year so that all the New products are not “all jammed up” in the September-December period. This leaves the iWatch release a perfect companion to the iPhone users, and makes for an exciting Holiday Gift in the under $300 price category, of course guessing on the pricing and everything else actually. Imagining Apple product iterations and new Apple products, is an exciting puzzle to play.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ We heard a rumor that a prototype of the iWatch is running on a version of iOS; However, keeping in mind the battery issues this may not seem possible. To be sure, Lithium-Polymer Battery capacity and component energy-efficiency will be Top-Priority for the iWatch development team. The watch may have a pedometer and some bio-sensors to help it compete with amazing fitness gadgets in market like Nike’s FuelBand and the Fitbit.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ iWatch Functions and Price. What will this Trendy iDevice Cost each of us? While we are Rumoring… lets assume that the iWatch will be connected with bluetooth to your iPhone, and will accomplish the following:

1⃣ Display Time, Date, Alarms.

2⃣ Display Location Data and select Weather Data.

3⃣ Display Current Call and a few Missed Telephone Calls.

4⃣ Display Social Media posts.

5⃣ Display Current eMails and Text Messages.

6⃣ Display Next Appointments, scrollable.

7⃣ Display Heart Rates, Calories expended.

8⃣ Display Blood Pressure.

9⃣ Display a Bio-Metric Stress Reading, Distance Walked.

πŸ”  To be sure Apple will not come out with something “half-baked.”

πŸ”  iWatch or whatever Apple decides to name it, will undergo an intense level of research, development, and focus grouping.

πŸ”  Even with some of the fancy-artwork Concept imaging displayed by very creative non-Apple folks, Marilyn and I would wear one of these; however, likely not one that looks like a boring rectangular watch-face box.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple CEO Tim Cook said that “amazing new hardware” would be coming out at the end of this year and throughout 2014; but, did he mean new products like an iWatch… or new models of Apple’s existing products (likeiPhone 5s or iPhone 6)…

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Either way, there’s no need to worry if the iWatch doesn’t Shows up soon. Similar rumored devices from Samsung, Google, and Microsoft may show up to cover one’s wrist. iWatch is expected to have Bluetooth connectivity, Siri Maps, Health Monitoring Applications and a flexible 1.75” display Screen.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ We have heard from rumors that the iWatch may be equipped with Essential Things for a device like bluetooth and voice assistant Siri; the idea of having Siri makes sense. If Siri is on board or through the iPhone connectivity, it may be because the iWatch is running an optimized form of actual iOS. Apple is testing 1.75″ displays, which tells us that it may show scrollable user-selected information from your iOS iPhone, rather than simply mirroring the entire iPhone display.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook is excited about wearable devices; however, Cook wasn’t that “keen on the face” saying that Google Glass was limiting its potential based on the fact that it is, essentially, head-mounted, and most people don’t want to wear glasses.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ “I wear glasses because I have to, I can’t see without them, but I don’t know a lot of people that wear them that don’t have to” Cook said. “People who do wear glasses generally want them to be light, unobtrusive, and probably want them to reflect their fashion, their style … from a mainstream point of view this [pointing at his head] is difficult.”

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ Forrester’s results sync with an April study by ChangeWave, which said that a full 20% of U.S. consumers were interested in buying an Apple iWatch, self included…. And it fits with a recent trend towards personal fitness monitors such as Jawbone’s Up, the Fitbit, and Nike FuelBand, all of which are worn on the wrist.

πŸ•™πŸŽπŸ•™ The fashion question, will the ladies that are used to their expensive watches, gold, and diamonds transition to iWearables, and use the other wrist and their neck for the stones and gold.
