Apple named the Most-Innovative Company for 2013 ( 9 years in a row ~ Apple topped the Annual Survey of Senior Executives arranged by Boston Consulting Group, the world’s leading advisor on business strategy ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ

Apple named the most-innovative company, 9 years in a row, as Apple topped a 2013 survey of senior executives arranged by the Boston Consulting Group.

★ South Korea-based rival Samsung was No. 2 and Android’s Google was listed as No. 3, Microsoft and automaker Toyota rounded out the top five. “Measuring innovation remains difficult. BCG doesn’t ask survey respondents to explain exactly how they’re defining it,” reports the Wall Street Journal.

Apple Delivers Greater Market Share for June, 2013 Quarter ~ Android is Loosing Share ~ With Apple’s 9 Million iPhone 5S + 5C weekend Apple’s Market Share likely to Surge (update) ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ

๐ŸŽ Apple Delivers Greater Market Share for Quarter ending June, 2013 ~ Android is Loosing Share. These figures are delightful for Apple as it gained +3.3% for the quarter ending in June as compared to the June quarter in 2012. Android on the other hand has begun a loss in share, down -1.1% and BlackBerry down -2.9%, for a total of negative 4.0% combined loss in market share for Android+BlackBerry. Extrapolating this further, it appears that Apple’s iPhone picked up most of its 3.3% gain in market share from the 4.0% combined lost of BlackBerry and Android.

๐ŸŽ AT&T is selling iPhones to 62.9% of its customers. AT&T’s retail efforts have been very helpful in Apple’s iPhone market penetration as for the June 2013 quarter AT&T increased its iPhone sales. AT&T is now selling the iPhone to 62.9% of all their Mobile Phone, an increase of +5.9%. Similarly, AT&T is only selling Android phones to 30.1% of its customers, representing a decrease of -5.7% of Android’s share at AT&T stores.

๐ŸŽ Apple Delivers Greater Market Share ~ Android is Loosing Share ~ With Apple’s 9 Million iPhone 5S + 5C weekend, Apple’s Market Share likely to Surge again in coming months. In my humble opinion, Apple’s attention to minute detail, the quality, the Apple iPhone’s ease of use, the Apple Ecosystem are in total, beginning to really sink-in to the minds of those Android folks that are tired of fighting with their smartphones.

๐ŸŽ It was reported recently by Gazelle.com that it was receiving 5-Sale Commitment Acceptances per second, equating to 18,000 Android Sale Commitment Acceptances per Hour, during the Launch of Apple’s iPhone 5S, and 5C. This figure represents a 210% increase in Commitments Accepted by Samsung and Android users. Before this Launch, major USA cellular Carriers have been reporting that 26% of their Samsung and Android clients are Migrating directly to the Apple iPhone as soon as their 2-year contract terms expire. With Apple’s record breaking 3-Day weekend sale of 9 million iPhones, this Android Migration Percentage will surely surge. The migration by Apple customers to all other smartphone platforms is negligible by comparison.

๐ŸŽ Android’s Major problem, Google dropping Android, as its has a huge issue with Carriers using differing versions of the OS. The Android OS also has some significant financial liabilities with some of the “code” and “patent” infringement issues. Because of this Google is throwing in the Towel on Android for all of their Google Smart Phones.

๐ŸŽ Samsung also dropping Android from its smart phones too for a variety of other issues, mostly because over 50% of their existing Galaxy customers are trapped at lower versions of Android, for fear of their device “locking up” or loosing some of their favorite Apps, and Carrier fracturing.

๐ŸŽ In Sum, a Shake Up is Coming. The Smart Phone market is going to be shaken up quite a bit with both Samsung and Google dumping Android. As a result Apple’s iOS stable environment carefully maintained, will pay-off hugely, as folks flock to the iPhone. Granted the high technology of the smart phones is very important; however, like with the PC Computer industry, its all about the Operating System and the Software Apps.

๐ŸŽ Windows literally owned the PC operating system business, having over 85% market-share for decades. Today Windows OS8 is only being adopted by less than 10% of its installed user base, because its too cumbersome, slow, and Older Apps wont operate on it … Sounds familiar with the Android issues… fracturing.

๐ŸŽ Apple’s Solution. Come to the rescue for all those PC customers, with the iPad. Presently the iPad has a Small and Medium sizes. Soon the iPad will have a Large version. Apple providing Display sizes of 7.9″ 9.7″ and 12.9″ most of the Windows PC and Laptop users are covered. (The 12.9″ larger iPad rumored to be in the works)

๐ŸŽ iPad is “The Post PC” Choice, Combine:

1⃣ Three modern Hi Res Display sizes,

2⃣ Enhanced Processing & Memory Capabilities,

3⃣ World-wide Connectivity,

4⃣ Long Battery life,

5⃣ Very Nimble and stable iOS, plus a

6⃣ Huge array of incredible Apps… This all Adds-up to be

7⃣ The Destination for tens-of-millions of PC users will flock to, rather than spend money on any more Windows based PC. Apple called this phenomenon several years ago “The Post PC Era.” Apple is correct, PC sales globally is down about -10%.

๐ŸŽ The “Propeller Heads” have been whining about Apple’s iOS being too “Closed and Controlled” environment… Well, what’s going on with Android is the very reason Apple maintains an important “code” and “operability” control over its iOS and their APi drivers. This structure is good for everyone, the Users, the Carriers, and the App Developers.

๐ŸŽ Apple has over 93% of the 500 million iPhone users on iOS6, quickly upgrading to new iOS versions without fear of loosing operability of their iPhones or their Apps; the balance of the folks (the 7%) likely have 5 and 6 year old iPhones that are already past retirement-age and functionally obsolete, as the hardware does not have the capacity to take on iOS6. Even with the iPhone, functional obsolescence is inevitable, as technology continues to improve exponentially.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” from the big Investment Banking Houses, many of which just passed puberty, albeit with advanced degrees, had the iPhone and a Apple “Dead in the Water” “over the hill, utility stock.”

๐ŸŽAlmost all the “Analysis” concluded that SmartPhone Sales have “Peaked” as everyone that wanted a smart phone already bought one, and the only thing left would be very marginal changes in carriers.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” missed the point, because the iPhone 5 continues to Grow in Sales by exceeding “analyst expectations by 20%.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” predicted 25.5 million sales for the Quarter, however, actual iPhone Sales were in reality about 31.5 million units.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” predicted that the iPhone had “Peaked.”

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” predicted that the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S would be the large majority of the iPhone sales because they are lower priced. Not true as over half the iPhone sales and growth came from the sales of the iPhone 5.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” said that Apple’s franchise products center on devices that rest in saturated (“the iPhone has Peaked”) markets for high-end smartphones. The facts are unit sales and Apple’s 93% to 95% loyalty rate among iPhone customers look like a strong and healthy franchise.

๐ŸŽ Almost all the “Analysis” spoke of Apple’s inability to profit at lower prices. The facts are iPhone’s average selling price fell significantly to $580, down $32/unit in the this Q3 alone; and yet, Apple’s gross margin was near the 37% it placed at the high-end of the quarter’s guidance.

๐ŸŽ iPhone pricing continue to trend downward with the lower-priced iPhone expected in September.

๐ŸŽ Apple iPhone unit sales are likely to trend up in the event that new products materialize. The reason should be clear by now.

๐ŸŽ Given a more level playing field as to pricing with Android competition, many people will migrate iPhone, as their contracts expire. In fact, 51% of Verizon smartphone customers did just that this past quarter, activated iPhones, and those Activations was a 41% increase over the previous period, despite the launch of Samsung’s new Galaxy S4.

๐ŸŽ Apple’s iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, last year’s iPhone models, are each out-selling Samsung’s new Galaxy S4. Therefore the iPhone 5, the iPhone 4S, and the iPhone 4 are each individually out-selling Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

๐ŸŽ Apple’s CFO Peter Oppenheimer and CEO Tim Cook both mentioned that Apple “is on tract to have a very busy Fall.” What could this reasonably mean. From reading all the “reports” from component suppliers, there are 5 likely new Products including a New Operating System, to come to market this year.

๐ŸŽ This list is what may cause Apple to have a Very Busy Fall:

๐Ÿ“ฑ New iPhone 5S,

๐Ÿ“ฑ Entry Level iPhone 5

๐Ÿ“ฑ New iPad, version 5

๐Ÿ“ฑ New iPad mini, with Retina Display

๐Ÿ“ฑ New Operating System iOS7
, this upload-able software upgrade is really a Big Thing, as it Improves the User Experience immediately for over 500 million iDevices. This is like getting a New Device, as this iOS7 upgrade is a massive improvement in both “look and feel.”

๐ŸŽ What will likely not appear this year: (A) no iPhone with a 5″ Display, (B) no iWatch, (C) no iTV, at least not yet.

Designs can be Copied; However, Excellence and Discipline cannot.

๐ŸŽ In July of 2012, shares of Apple were trading in the low US $600 range and were about to embark on a rather sudden ascent to $700. The party, however, didn’t last long as Apple shares quickly began a steady decline, hitting a 52-week low of $390 this past April.

๐ŸŽ In an effort to explain why Apple stock was falling so precipitously, we were treated to a host of analysts and talking heads who were quick to proclaim that Apple had peaked and that it had, seemingly overnight, lost the ability to innovate.

๐ŸŽ Verizon today announced its earnings for Q2 2013. As expected, the carrier reported strong results with $5.2 billion in profit and $29.79 billion in revenue. Verizon added 1 million new customers and now has 100.1 million retail connections.

๐ŸŽ Verizon confirmed it activated 7.5 M smartphones, 51% of which were iPhones. This brings Verizon’s quarterly iPhone activations to approximately 3.87 million units, which is up from the 2.7 million it activated in the same quarter last year. This represnts a 143% increase in iPhone activations YoY. It is right on par with the 4 million activations it reported in the opening quarter of 2013. Recall it was not until later in 2010 that AT&T’s iPhone exclusivity expired, which let Verizon join the party.

๐ŸŽ An oft-heard refrain, absurd as it may be, was that everyone who wants an iPhone already has one and that Apple would face many challenges trying to sell more iPhones in an increasingly crowded marketplace. The absurdity is that (A) there is a stampeed of "Non-Smart Phone" owners (presently 40% of the cellular customers use "dumb-phones in the USA) that moving to Smart Phones, and (B) there are 26% of the Android Users that are migrating to iPhone very month, as their contracts expire.

๐ŸŽ But then a funny thing happened. Last week, Verizon reported its earnings results from Q2 2013 and the results were better than what most analysts were expecting. Last quarter, Verizon activated 7.5 million smartphones, of which 3.8 million units were iPhones. Put differently, nearly 51% of all smartphones Verizon activated last quarter were iPhones.

๐ŸŽ That’s pretty impressive, but the folks on Wall St. don’t care so much about product share as they do about overall growth. To that end, the 3.8 million iPhones Verizon activated this past quarter far eclipsed the 2.7 million units it sold during Q2 of 2012. Year over year, iPhone activations on Verizon grew by 40.7%.

๐ŸŽ And yet, somehow, that little tidbit was inexplicably glossed over by those who are so quick to paint a doom-and-gloom scenario for Apple based upon some sketchily sourced second-hand rumor about iPhone production emanating out of a manufacturing plant in Asia.

๐ŸŽ Apple is set to announce its earnings for the quarter gone Today, at 5pm eastern, and it remains to be seen how iPhone sales will measure up to the year-ago quarter. Indeed, many analysts are predicting that Apple’s year-over-year growth will be somewhat stagnant in that regard. And that may very well be the case.

๐ŸŽ After all, Verizon is just a single carrier and its recent results many not be representative of iPhone activations across all carriers.

๐ŸŽ I’m more positive, as Verizon was late to the iPhone Party, as were their sales associates, selling Android and BB almost exclusively. So here we are only several years later and Verizon is now selling More iPhones, than all the other phones combined, in the stores. IB Analysts not recognizing these facts is amazing to me.

๐ŸŽ BTW, I am not an Apple stakeholder so my opinions are not economically skewed.

๐ŸŽ That notwithstanding, it’d be nice if the investment banking analysts who get paid to keep up with Apple products, profits, pace, and the industry, paid as much attention to potentially good news as they do to potentially alarming news.

๐ŸŽ In Business as in Sports, everyone "hates" the Winner, and seems to cheer-on the under-dogs. IMHO, Apple IS actually Better, it delivers Better Products in every product category, and therefore should do Better business-wise.

However, the "Line to Stardom is Not a Straight Line UP."

Apple Must Not Ignore 25 million Units/Qtr of Phablet Sales any Longer. iPhone 6 with a 4.7″, 5.2″ or 5.7″ Display – Apple is Formulating Large Display iPhones. The BIG Questions are Display Size? and WHEN?

๐ŸŽ Can Apple really “Afford to Ignore” the 25 million Units per Quarter of Phablet Sales any Longer. Bottom line, there are lots of present-day Apple CUSTOMERS that WANT A LARGER iPhone DISPLAY. How can this be ignored, because the original iPhone was designed for ONE-HAND use. The Heck with that, its 2013 and Many of US want a bigger iPhone… Apple Must Not Ignore 25 million Units/Qtr of Phablet Sales any Longer. iPhone 6 with a 4.7″, 5.2″ or 5.7″ Display – Apple is supposedly formulating several Larger Display iPhones. The BIG Questions are Display Size? and WHEN?

๐ŸŽ iPhone 6 with a 4.7″ or 5.7″ Display is a good Display Range to consider. Apple apparently is formulating Large Display iPhone Plan. Although Samsung S4 Sales are Down 50% from Samsung own Projections.

๐ŸŽ Android Phablets, as a group, sold 25 million units in the June, 2013 Quarter, which is more than TWICE the number of iPads sold in this same quarter. iPhone 6 with a 5.7" Display – Apple is supposedly Working its Supply-Line formulating a beta-Plan. Citing four sources, Reuters reported that Apple has delivered detailed plans for a 4.7" and a 5.7" iPhones, to its suppliers in Asia, presumably to produce beta-samples for Apple Engineers to test internally.

๐ŸŽ IDC Research has recently reported that in the recent quarter, June, 2013 Phablet Sales were a stunning 25.2 million units. Apple Tablet Sales were 12.2 Million units, Portable PC sales were 12.7 Million units, and iPhone Sales were 32 million units. And in the Asian markets Phablet sales increased by 100%.

๐ŸŽ Can Apple really ignore these stunning facts any longer. There are many folks apparently that cannot afford to buy a Smartphone and a Tablet. Therefore they are buying a portable device that combines the smartphone with the Tablet, hence PHABLET, not only in name but in practicality.

๐ŸŽ This is not “Rocket Science.” Take an LTE iPad mini, turn on cellular connectivity and you have a Large Phablet, probably too large at 7.9″ but thats all it would require. So lets make a Phablet of a more reasoned size. The internals are already engineered, certainly Apple can have their Display suppliers squeeze the iPad v5 into a Display of 5.7″ rework the container, and the battery, and viola, Apple could have a Large iPhone.

๐ŸŽ What would be the best Phablet Size for Apple to capture this Market Segment. Since there iPad mini is sized at 7.9″, say 8″ for simplicity, and their largest iPhone’s Display is presently 4.” Let’s split the difference of these two Displays, that would render a 6″ display. We have heard from an Asian Supplier that Apple has ordered a large quantity of Display samples of 4.7″ and 5.7″ for supposed prototype iPhone product testing.

๐ŸŽ iPhone 6, My preference. Personally, I would prefer the 5.7″ iPhone-6-maxi, and use the 4.7″ Screen as the new standard for the iPhone-6, and retain the 4″ Display for the iPhone-5S and the iPhone-5C as the “entry level” iPhone, for the Four Tiered iPhone lineup for 2014.

๐ŸŽ Can Apple Afford to delay the release iPhone 6 until September of 2014, the release of a 5.7″ iPhone? Hopefully Apple will attempt to trap their share of the 50 million Phablets that will have been sold from now until March, 2014. Can Apple loose the opportunity for their share of another 50 million units and delay the 5.7″ iPhone 6 initiative until September, 2014? This would be a shame. The iPhone 5C and an 5.7″ iPhone 6 would be the magic for Apple to capture a huge chunk of Market-Share.

๐ŸŽ iPhone large display is Music to My Ears for sure. Look at the excitement Apple created in November, 2012 with its Release of the iPad mini. Recall 53% of all US smart phone users are Apple iPhone adopters, and less than half that for Samsung Galaxy folks.

๐ŸŽ Similarly, in my humble opinion, when Apple releases a Large Display iPhone, there will likely be even more excitement than the new sales generated by the iPad mini. Why? There is a relatively large installed base of iPhones, some 500 million users, 4 times larger existing installed user base than the iPad community; Even a small portion of 500,000,000, represents many millions.

๐ŸŽ Example… if only 12% are seriously excited with the release of a Large-display iPhone, 12% of 500,000,000 is 60 Million units. Its better for Apple to trap these large-screen display folks, than have 5″ smart-phones cannibalized to Samsung.

๐ŸŽ My guess, when Apple delivers a Large Display iPhone, 40% will go for it. Another guess, Apple was surprised at the adoption-rate of the iPad mini, because Apple was so committed to believing the iPad had to be 9.7″ it ignored the market. Apple likewise has been ignoring the Market again with 5″ smart-phones. Hopefully, Apple will stop believing its own BS and listen to the Market’s Desire.

⏰ There is a large installed base of “Android” smart-phone folks that wish Apple had a 5-incher, and are looking for an excuse to get out of the Droid OS-Fragmentation headache. Surveys continue to indicate consistently for several years that about 22% of Android users Jump-Ship and adopt iPhones, when their contracts expire.

⏰ Samsung reported this morning, June 20, 2013, that it has lowered its sales projections of the Galaxy S4 by 50% of their new flagship smart phone. This newly released model the S4, was supposed to be Samsung’s 2013 “iPhone 5 Killer.”

⏰ Apparently after only 5 weeks of the availability of the Galaxy S4, the Android community and Galaxy 3S users are simply not upgrading from their own Galaxy users, nor from the other Vendors to the Galaxy S4. Its not hard to imagine, the Korean company, Samsung’s Stock has dropped significantly on its stock exchange.

⏰ Samsung has already had to cut expectations for their latest flagship, the Galaxy S4, it looks like Sammy had to lower estimates for device shipments once again, today. Originally, Samsung and their analysts predicted a lofty 10 million S4 units for April, and 12 million S4 units for May, 2013; This estimate has been dropped to about 6.5 million S4 predicted units in July.

๐ŸŽ Recall Apple sold over 5 Million iPhone 5 units in its first 3 day weekend, selling every one of the iPhones Apple had stock-piled for the iPhone5 release weekend. Annual iPhone sales are actually occuring at a rate of over 130 million for 2013. With the iPhone 5S anticipated for Sept, 2013, according to “analysts,” the iPhone sales rate may increase.

⏰ To perk sales back up, Samsung is reportedly planning an early retirement of the Galaxy S III. With the latest price-drops on the Galaxy S3, since the S4′s release; Apparently there is not enough innovation in the new S4, and the Android folks are defaulting to the less expensive S3, chopping into sales of Samsung’s latest flagship, which is not a good thing.

⏰ Taking away consumer choice isn’t generally a good thing for your customers; However, in this case, it’s a business move that Samsung has chosen. These events are definitely something to keep an eye on in the next few months.

๐ŸŽ If Apple follows through with these plans for a larger than 4″ iPhone display, this would be an significant change in Apple’s (unrealistic) position for iPhones with 5″ or larger Displays. We all know Apple says Nothing, Releases Nothing, No Specs, No Images, No Hints, No Trial Balloons, Nothing until Apple Decides to inform, and then Apple Tells Everyone with an Event.

๐ŸŽ Apple Secrets. Think about it, with a staff of 90,000 soles at Apple, add another 400,000 Asian fabricators, at FoxConn for example, add to this, Many Supply-Line sources, like the iPhone Camera Module and the Display fabricators, its quite a Security undertaking to Compel everyone to keep Apple’s Secrets non-Disclosed.

๐ŸŽ Once Apple delivered the iPad-mini, contrary to Apple’s (previously absurd) position that Only the 9.7" display was optimal – required for finger gestures, and that all other display sizes are inappropriate. Clearly, having delivered a 7.9" iPad-mini is very appropriate, very relevent, and may be out-selling the traditional iPad by a margin of say 3-to-2 ~ meaning, Three ipad-mini sales for every Two standard sized iPad sales.

๐ŸŽ Apple Knowing the history of the iPods, mini, nano, you name the flavors, its pretty easy to "Connect the Dots" that eventually the iPhone may have two or three footprints, several Display Sizes, particularly with the out-cry from Apple users who are routinely Complaining to Apple sales associates at Apple retail stores, all over the world, self included.

๐ŸŽ Apple bumped up its screen size to 4" diagonal with the iPhone 5, which launched September, 2012, and met with Rave Reviews and huge Sales, 5,000,000 units in iPhone 5 opening weekend. This 4″ display departed from the 3.5" display on all previous iPhone models, since the iPhone’s inception in mid-2007. But unlike its biggest rival, Samsung, the iPhone 5, was a 13mm increse in length only, no proportionate increase in width, as compared to the iPhone 4.

๐ŸŽ Last month, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that a larger screen could differentiate phones, but noted the company had to weigh the “trade offs” which would have to be evaluated, namely battery-life, weight, longevity of the screen, overall size.

⏰ Recall a very large number, some 96% of the Droid Users have Not updated to the newest version of JellyBean version 4.2 of Android’s OS; this creates a huge mess for everyone in the entire Droid user population, their App Developers, and all the Smart-Phone companies that are fabricating Droid devices. Making for an even bigger mess, is about 52% of the present-day Droid users remain at an Android OS-version that dates back several years.

๐ŸŽ My view, Delivering 4.7" and/or 5.7" iPhones, lets assume an increase in pixel count, to keep up the "retina display" of 325 dots per inch, more power is needed to drive the increased number of pixels, and the graphics-processor, plus more power would be need to illuminate the larger display, in brighter ambient lighting conditions, than an iPad generally requires.

๐ŸŽ Example, while walking down the street at high-noon, the iPhone rings, you look at the display, and answer the call. In bright out-door lighting, the iPhone Display must be bright. With an iPad, folks generally are not walking the streets reading their 7.9" iPad-minis. Accordingly, iPad displays are not illuminated with the same intensity as iPhone displays.

๐ŸŽ iPhone 6 with a 5.7" display, (2" inches shorter than the iPad-mini, or 1.7″ longer than the iPhone 4, diagonally) More Power will be needed to drive a 5.7" display, perhaps 60% to 75% more power, than what was needed to drive a 4" iPhone 5 display. A 5.7" iPhone 6 may need 50% more power and 50% more space to house the larger LiON Polymer battery. (All guess work with these figures). However, in theory, its all about Display Energy Efficiency, internal Electronics Energy Efficiency and the Energy Density for the newer more powerful Lithium Polymer battery technologies.

๐ŸŽ Being trained as a Chemist years ago, I recall that there is a very unique feature for Lithium Polymer batteries. The uniqueness, the physical shape of the battery does not have to be cylindrical or rectangular. The Polymer Battery may be literally “Moulded” to the exact Shape of a highly irregular-shape of the container of the iPhone’s interior, for example. This LiON Polymer irregular-shape-capability includes curved edges, convex, and concave shapes, dimples, bumps, depressions, and non-rectangular conditions. Presently, we see LiON Polymer batteries shaped into three-dimensional rectanglar containers, with many “sizes and capacities” to choose from. Product designers, choose an “industrial standard” battery capacity and dimension, and then builds the device to accommodate the chosen industry standard LiON battery.

๐ŸŽ Apple, in my humble opinion, may apply this very unique Moulding Capability of the LiON Polymer, to shape the Battery in a much more Precise and Contorted Shape to utilize Every Available cubic millimeter, that is not being occupied by the iPhone’s other internal components. This is a more expensive battery design. However, when Apple orders the fabrtication of hundreds of millions of these custom designed Batteries, this added engineering and battery cost, would be spread over millions of units, weighed against the iPhone’s incredible Need for More Power, as features and display sizes soak up increased Power.

๐ŸŽ Some analysts believe Apple may launch a larger display iPhone 6 sometime soon. Prehaps Apple will release the iPhone 6 in March, 2014 to spread out new product releases into other calendar quarters. However, expect Apple to remain with the current 4" display size for what is believed to be the iPhone 5S thought to launch September, 2013.

๐ŸŽ While the iPhone has been a solid favorite with Government and Business users, rivals such as Samsung and Microsoft (with Nokia) have been raising their game. The increasing popularity of so-called phablet style extra-large smartphones such as Samsung’s S4 has been a recent trend that Apple may want to capture a significant portion of this segment. Personal Opinion, if Apple delivers an iPhone with a 5" display it will be a huge success just as the iPad-mini in November, 2012.

๐ŸŽ According to Reuters, Apple will launch two new iPhone models later this year, including an up-market inPhone and a cheaper iPhone with plastic case in five or six colors with a $99 price-tag. A lower price-point may improve sales in Aisa, and give everyone a less expensive Apple "entry-point." Another analyst last week also claimed that Apple would launch a cheaper iPhone in five colors, claiming at least two of the new colors may include pink and blue.

๐ŸŽ Apple’s primary iPhone contractor, Foxconn, will assemble the higher-end iPhone, while Pegatron, which makes the iPad mini, will assemble the cheaper entry-level iPhone.

๐ŸŽ If Apple were to Release a Large Display iPhone, there may be even more excitement than the iPad mini generated, due to the large installed base of iPhones, some 500 million users, where even a small portion of 500,000,000, represents millions, that may be excited with a Large-display iPhone. This short clip is a very clever rendering of the iPhone 5.7:
