Apple Sells over 9 Million iPhones in 3-Days with an Incremental Update ~ Galaxy’s New Flagship Model S4 struggled to sell 10 million units in 30-Days ~ Android are Folks Flocking to iPhone ~ Gazelle Reports a 210% Increase in Samsung Trade-Ins on iPhone Launch Weekend ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ

๐ŸŽ Apple successfully prepared for an Amazing Record Setting mid-September Weekend commenced at 8:00am Friday Morning. September 20th is iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C Day. Ever Seen Lines Like this for an Android or Windows smart phone, or ANY consumer product? Rock Concert Lines are Common place. Rock Concert Lines for a SmartPhone, are not common, except at Apple iPhone or iPad release Events. Apple, AT&T, Verizon, and other Carriers braced for an Amazing Record Setting Weekend. Over 9 Million iPhones Sold in 3 Days September 20, 21, 22, were iPhone 5S & 5C Days. Never Seen Lines Like this for any Android or any Consumer product? Last year with the iPhone 5 release weekend, Apple Sold over 5 Million iPhones, setting a new record as of that date. This year’s figures are 108% later than last year… Apple Lost its MoJo? NOT!

๐ŸŽ In Sept of 2013 with its 3-Day weekend sales over 9 million iPhones (5S and 5C), the 3-Day Weekend iPhone 2012 sales record, was eclipsed by 180%. The Apple Critics say “Apple is not Cool anymore,” “Apple has lost its MoJo.” Oh Really, where are those critics this week…

๐ŸŽ Apple experienced a record 9 Million unit sales weekend for the launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c, so this news probably isn’t surprising…. Consumer electronics recycler Gazelle saw a Huge action during the same time, with almost four times as many trade-ins on launch day compared to that same time frame during the iPhone 5 launch last year. It might be a number of Samsung smartphone owners jumping ship to the new iPhones, as Gazelle reported a 210% jump in trade-ins of Samsung phones during the launch weekend.

๐ŸŽ During launch day on September 20, Gazelle made 5 Offers per Second during the initial hours of Launch Day. That’s a whopping 18,000 Samsung’s per Hour who decided to trade in their existing Samsung-Android phone for Cash to use on the new iPhone. The company also reported that the average value per trade-in is US$50 higher this year than last year.

๐ŸŽ Apple Sells over 9 Million iPhones in 3-Days with its Incremental Update. In our opinion there is nothing “incremental” with the iPhone 5S, as the only things that remained the “same” between the 5 and the 5S is the Exterior-Housing and the Display. Galaxy’s New Flagship Model S4 struggled to sell 10 million units in 30-Days. Android are Folks Flocking to iPhone, as Gazelle Reports a 210% Increase in Samsung Trade-Ins on iPhone Launch Weekend.

๐ŸŽ Industry sources indicate that the Sales of Apple’s new iPhones is incredibly Strong to the point that Apple’s supply-line will be working at FULL Speed to fulfill the Demand. It will take three months or so to balance the Demand-Supply equation. As a former Banker this is a Dream Come True for Apple. Every enterprise should be so fortunate that their products have such Demand, that the demand portion of the equation is this dramatic.

๐ŸŽ Last year Apple sold every iPhone 5 with 5 million delivered in 3-Days; this year that figure was eclipsed by 180%. Apple being confident of its new release for its September 20, 2013 release build 9 Million units, and every unit was sold in 3-Days. Could it be that next year, Apple may have to stock-pile over 12 to 15 Million units, perhaps even more if Apple releases two Models including an over-5″ Display iPhone 6.

๐ŸŽ Don’t Fprget to get your Apple Care+ which extends your warranty to 2-years on everything, and offers a “No-Fault” iPhone repair or replacement, even if you drop it in the Bathtub the Ocean, or falls from the 4th Floor balcony… But, you have to bring it into the Apple Store, even if its in a “baggie.” If you loose it, you’re out of luck with Apple Care; no coverage for loosing it or having it stolen.

๐ŸŽ Apple publishes there first weekend sales figures. These 5-panels show a portion of Five Years Press Release, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009 Press Releases. With each annual release, the Media doubts that Apple can maintain (not to mention eclipse) the previous year’s incredible iPhone sales. Looking at these four panels for only the 3-Day sales figures for The 3-Day Weekend events:

(2009) iPhone 3GS sales: 1,000,000 Units, No% Increase from 2008

(2010) iPhone 4 sales: 1,700,000 Units, 170% Increase from 2009

(2011) iPhone 4S sales: 4,000,000 Units, 235% Increase from 2010

(2012) iPhone 5 sales: 5,000,000 Units, 125% Increase from 2011

(2013) iPhone 5S sales: 9,000,000 Units, 180% Increase from 2012

๐ŸŽ Incremental iPhone product releases vs. New Model releases. The Apple critics, and the expert talking heads over the recent 5 iPhone releases continue to say that not many folks will upgrade to only an “Incremental” iPhone release. Examining the figures above, how does one reconcile these facts:

(A) iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S sales figures, iPhone 4S sales eclipsed iPhone 4 sales by over 235%, the iPhone 4S being an incremental release.

(B) iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 sales figures, iPhone 5 sales eclipsed iPhone 4S sales by about 125%.

(C) iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S sales figures, iPhone 5S sales eclipsed iPhone 5 sales by over 180%, the iPhone 5S being an incremental release.

๐ŸŽ Incremental iPhones Model years, generally means the exterior of the iPhone’s case remains consistent with the prior year’s model. My guess is that Apple, officially or unofficially, maintains the “exact” same exterior dimensions and button placements for the benefit of the After Market accessory and case fabricators, each spending lots of engineering dollars designing quality products for the iPhones. Conversely, if Apple changed the iPhone’s size and shape every year, as opposed to every two years, there would be fewer aftermarket product accessory makers. For the recent 4 years of iPhone Releases, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, Apple has largely enhanced the iPhone’s Internal Electronics and Optics, regardless of whether the exterior dimensions are changed.

๐ŸŽ Apple published their weekend results… First Weekend iPhone Sales Top Nine Million, Sets New Record, CUPERTINO, California―September 23, 2013―Apple® today announced it has sold a record-breaking Nine Million new iPhone® 5s and iPhone 5c models, just three days after the launch of the new iPhones on September 20. In addition, more than 200 million iOS devices are now running the completely redesigned iOS 7, making it the fastest software upgrade in world history. Both iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK. Demand for iPhone 5s has exceeded the initial supply, and many online orders are scheduled to be shipped in the coming weeks.

๐ŸŽ “This is our best iPhone launch yet―more than 9 Million new iPhones sold, a new record for first weekend sales,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we’ve [completely] sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5s [everywhere], stores continue to receive new iPhone [small] shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone.”

๐ŸŽ It seems, no matter how many iPhones Apple builds-up for its new iPhone release Weekend, the iPhones sell-out everywhere in the 3-Days; Importantly, this year, Apple did not provide any on-line Pre-Sales for the iPhone 5S. However, pre-sales were possible for the 5C for the week prior to the release day. Apple sources also reported that iPhone 5C sales were at 3 million units and iPhone 5S sales were over 6 million units.

๐ŸŽ Since 2010, which was the date for our 1st iPhone, previously being loyal BlackBerry Bold users, I have done the Stand in Long-Line thing with thousands of Apple Fans, and boy there is excitement with all these folks. I had to experience this product-event for myself. It like a Rock Concert with out performers and music.

๐ŸŽ The Apple Retail Store (Boca Raton, FL) was scheduled in 2010 to open at exactly 9am Eastern. I arrived at exactly 5:30am, and there were already about 500 in line; by 8:45am the line grew Five Times in length; There were thousands of folks in line, wrapping around the Boca Raton Mall’s interior, and continuing outside into the parking lot for a half-mile. Boca Police everywhere to keep the peace. Apple Security and the MALL’s Security guards were all over the mall’s interior too, to keep order, and protecting the line from folks looking to "cut into the line." The Apple Store has a policy of “Only 2 iPhones per Customer” in attempt to discourage excessive "scalping." At AT&T Corporate Stores, only ONE iPhone per person, no exceptions.

๐ŸŽ Apple enjoys a New Retail Store in the Boca Raton Mall this year, it being two-times the floor-area of the original Boca Raton Mall store located across the mall’s concourse. The "Talking Heads and Analysts" are all saying that " Apple is not Cool Anymore" and its "Lost its Mojo." Well folks, take a few minutes and go to the local Apple Store at 9:15am or so, or the Local AT&T Company Stores in your area, and see the Lines and Excitement, tell these folks that Apple “is not cool” or “lost its Mojo” then be prepared to run for the hills.

๐ŸŽ Apple enjoys about a 54% market share for smart phones in the USA and North America. This iteration of the iPhone, the iPhone 5S, is very significant and major complete reWork of the iPhone’s Internal Electronics, the only thing remaining the same as with the iPhone released a year ago is the display size of 4" and the physical dimensions of the iPhone’s metallic container.

๐ŸŽ Admittedly the iPhone, iPad experience is quite compelling. The quality of these devices is unheard of for a very popular consumer product. Every millimeter of the external surfaces have been carefully studied, changed, examined, and polished, to tolerances only seen in very high cost electronic instruments. The iPhone combined with carefully engineered Operating Software, the iOS7, makes for an amazing platform for the thousands of private App developers, to build upon.

๐ŸŽ iPhone Apps, I have roughly 340 Apps that tell me: when its going to start raining, when the rain will stop, a HP 17B calculator amazing emulation App, the Image editors, Navigation Apps, Mapping, GPS accurate Location Apps, Word processing, Spreadsheets, WiFi Speed testing, Clocks, Timers, Stop Watches, unique Camera Apps, Business Card Scanning, Printing, Traveling, Electronic Ticketing, Boarding Pass Apps, Wine, Foods, Cocktail Recipes Apps, Scrabble Word Games, Grocery Shopping List, Flixter Movie guides, Social Networking, Calendars, Contact List Apps, SoundHound listens to music and delivers the Album cover and lyrics by the original recording artists, TV Remote Controls, Health, Walking, Jogging, and Exercise Apps, Blood Pressure App coupled with a BP arm cuff, Wind Speed measurements, WiFi Doorbell audio-video Front Door Screening tool, DoorBot App. The list goes on and on.

๐ŸŽ I write Articles daily for my 23 thousand readers to mitigate the hassle of dealing with Million Apps out there in the App Store… The Graphic shows a partial list of what I consider the Best 100 iPhone and iPad Apps, the ones that Marilyn and I Have and Use on our iDevices.

๐ŸŽ iPhone App Reviews. I have written over a 100 Articles discussing the best Apps that we either use and have thoroughly tested over the three years of using Apple iPhones and iPads. This is a direct LINK to the App Articles published:

๐ŸŽ Home Sharing is valuable, cost saving feature for your iPhones and iPads ~ Home Sharing operates with Apps, Music, Movies, Books.. This feature is buried in the settings menus, and not advertised much. Briefly this setting permits you to BUY an App on your iPhone, for example, an that App will also be installed on your iPad, and all other iPhones and iPads automatically. The Limit presently is 5 Devices. Here is an example, for Image Editing our favorite App is Photogene. With Home Sharing turned on, using your iPhone go to the App Store, enter Photogene in the Search-Box, Buy Photogene, and like magic the App installs onto your iPhone, and also installs onto your iPad. The good part is you only Pay for App one time, even if you have 5 devices using the same iTunes Account ID and Password.

๐ŸŽ Home Sharing is relatively easy to set up; here are the steps: (A) Tap Settings > Music or Settings > Video to enable Home Sharing. (B) Note: Enabling Home Sharing in either setting will enable Home Sharing for both types of content. (C) In the Home Sharing section, enter the same Apple ID and password you entered on your iPads, iPhones, Computers, and tap the return button.

๐ŸŽ Apple’s iPhone 5S launch Day, Friday September 20, 2013, 8am Eastern, the opening Time for the Stores all across the USA and Canada. I visited one of the AT&T Corporate stores in Boca Raton, and interviewed its Store Manager on Thursday 9/19, afternoon, who indicated in a soft voice, that their store had already received "massive quantities of the new iPhones this year."

๐ŸŽ This year I traveled to one of the AT&T Corporate Stores, to get a 64GB iPhone 5S for myself, and to “experience” how the public swarms around Apple’s first USA Carriers, in the early hours of this "event." Thereafter, with a new iPhone5S in hand, I traveled 5 miles SE over to the Boca Raton Mall to see the action there. In a few Words… Huge, Massive Crowds, only seen at the Opening Day for Concert ticket sales. I have been engaged by the local newspapers to take images for them for their weekend editions.

๐ŸŽ For those that follow my writings, my present-day 64GB iPhone 5, is already committed to Gazelle.com for $350 net to me; however, I have to FedEx it to Gazelle by or before October 15th, the expiration of their price commitment. I’ve written a detailed Article on how Gazelle.com works. Briefly, they get my iPhone, they inspect my iPhone, and if its in the condition I mentioned, they send money to my PayPal account in about 9 calendar days. FedEx cost is paid by Gazelle.
