iPad mini Rumor Round Up ~ Its Apple Silly Season 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎 😆😆😆

🍎 With only several weeks and months before Apple releases their new product and iteration improvements, the Rumor Mill is in High Gear. It seems that everyone has a different take on what Apple is going to release in the Fall, which is why June-July-August is known as the “Apple Silly Season.”

🍎 New Improved iPad-Mini Coming in 2013, and a Retina Display iPad-Mini slated for Early 2014. Digitimes reports are grounded in some reality, that Apple plans to release a higher-specification iPad-mini in 2013. That part sounds reasonable, as it’s part of the Apple’s yearly product cycle. However, the strange part is that we may not see a Retina Display equipped iPad-Mini until later in 2013 or perhaps early 2014….

🍎 Digitimes claims the iPad-mini with Retina Display will come early in the year. Digitimes always has a way of taking something that seems plausible, then smashing it completely by adding a weird factor that makes it seem questionable.

🍎 Digitimes’ report claims that the Retina Display iPad-mini may have a greatly reduced bezel, which is quite interesting.

🍎 Bezels of some dimension, seem necessary to some extent. The slightest touch on the edge of the screen when you’re holding the device may launch an Apps, Turn pages, and so on.

🍎 Drastically reducing the bezels of the iPad may not seem ideal for regular use, unless there are some "intelligent methods" within the iOS that accounts for someone’s fingers unintentionally creep into the touch-screen-sensitive edge-areas.

🍎 Unmentioned in Digitimes’ report are some of the other iPad-mini specifications, such as processor speed, memory, finger-print security, NFC communications, battery life, better Camera Imager, better Lens system, better low light capability, better video capability. Yes, it may look a little crazy to see traditional iPad users taking videos and photos; however, with the iPad mini being quite a bit smaller, taking images with the iPad-mini is not so unusual.

🍎 Display Resolution of today’s iPad-mini. The present day iPad-mini, has a display resolution of 1040×768, which is the same pixel count as in the iPad v2; However, all the iPad v2 Pixels are squeezed into a display that is only 7.9" rather than 9.7" diagonally, almost a 2" reduction. This form-factor renders iPad-mini images and text at 163 dots per square inch; The iPad v2 renders at 132dpi.

🍎 iPad-mini, today’s model is delivering 123% greater resolution, than its big brother iPad v2. Marilyn has an iPad-mini, and her display looks terrific. I have the iPad v4 which of course has a terrific display. You’d almost need a magnifying glass to discern the difference with every day use. Yes, Apple should have retina-displays on the iPhones, iPads, and iPad mini, for product continuity. However, in the interim, the iPad-mini is a terrific device, as reflected by its amazing sales results.
