iPhone 5C is Ready for Launch ~ “C” = Color ~Tic Tok Tic Tok šŸŽšŸŽšŸŽšŸŽ šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž

šŸŽ A new set of photos hit the web, showing a number of plastic tub-styled boxes labeled ‘iPhone 5C’ on the sides. Our first instinct is, of course that these boxes may belong to one of the many iPhone clones circulating about Asia. But, perhaps not.

šŸŽ As we get closer to the actual release date of the next iPhone, it becomes harder and harder for Apple and their suppliers and fabricators to keep ‘everything under wraps." As FOX News says, "we report you decide."

šŸŽ Apple delivering an "entry-level" iPhone is a very smart strategy, with some unintended consequences. For the USA and particularly for Global Markets:

For the USA Market, for folks that are desiring an easy, low cost path from their "Dumb-Phones" to their first SmartPhone, the iPhone 5C is a perfect solution.

For the Android Disillusioned, the iPhone 5C may be just the avenue they have been hoping for, an entry-level price point to enter the Apple’s Ecosystem they have heard so much about. It has been reported that Android users have been defecting to Apple at the rate of 26%. With an iPhone 5C, focusing on a lower price point, the Android defection could accelerate, as exciting an unintended consequence for Apple.

For the Global Market, where 2-year contract subsidies either do not exist or are minimal, the iPhone 5C fits perfectly in Apple’s product line.

For the Apple Enterprise. This could mean another 50 million iPhone units. Granted, the profit-margins may be lower for the iPhone 5C. However, even lower margins times 50 million may represent a meaningful contribution to Apple’s bottom line.

For the Apple Customers. Another intended consequence, once someone becomes an Apple customer for the first time, with the product’s the incredible ease of use and Apple’s Ecosystem, is very conducive for costumers to adopt other Apple Products like Hundreds of Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, the iPad or iPad mini…

šŸŽ So what would the ‘C’ stand for? How about Color? After all, the plastic shells we’ve been seeing over the internet the past several weeks, that allegedly belong to Apple’s entry-level iPhone 5C, appear to come in a variety of colors. And that actually brings up a good question, what would Apple call its lower-end handset?

šŸŽ How about referring to it as the Color edition? ‘iPhone lite’ has been tossed around a bit, as has the ‘iPhone mini.’ But, those names carry a fairly negative connotation. So how do you pitch a less expensive handset alongside your flagship phone without making it sound like a lesser-buy? Simple…C for Color.
